Government of India has enacted “ The Right to Information Act, 2005 (Act No.22 of 2005) with an objective to establish the practical regime of Right to Information for citizens to secure access to information under control of Public authorities in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every Public authority etc. The Act provides for the information to be disseminated to citizens through notice boards, newspapers, public announcements, media broadcasts, Internet or any other means including inspection of Offices of any Public Authority.
As per the Order No: 29/F&CSD dated: 5th July 2021 superseeding the previous Notification No: 160/FCS&CA dated: 9th Sept 2017, Smt, Diki Doma Bhutia, Joint Secretary/ADM has been appointed as State Public Information Officer (SPIO) of the Food, Civil Supplies & C.A Department for the purpose of the Right to Information Act 2005.
As per the Order No: 161/FCS&CA dated: 9th September 2017 superseeding the previous Notification No: 11/FCS&CA dated: 23rd March 2013, the following officers have been appointed as Assistant State Public Information Officers (ASPIOs) of the Food, Civil Supplies & C.A Department for the purpose of the Right to Information Act 2005
